2015 Spring Trends

For all you shabby chic women out there, get ready because we're traveling back in time to the 70's this season. On the runway this year we've seen a lot of 70's influences trying to make a comeback. This includes color like you see above such as pale oranges, pale yellow-green, and maroon. Fringe everything is going to be all the rage this season. I went to the women's fair this past weekend and it was fringe everything! We'll also be seeing some gingham patterns. For those of you who have no idea what that means, just think about picnic table cloths like the old school red and white checkered print and you'll know exactly what I mean.

Gingham Print

Luxurious suede was seen on the runway in addition to khaki tones and flare pants. We saw a lot of sheer transparent tops, along with lots of lace. Ruffles and frills (always my fav) will be springs next big thing, in lots of colors and prints.

Here's some trending 2015 Runway inspiration looks...

Christina Aguilera does Cher + Spears impression

(Let Video Load Below)

I think Aguilera's had some practice mimicking people lol...Have you seen the pictures of Aguilera's new baby girl on the cover of People? This is adorable! Congrats to Xtina and her new addition.

Oscars Fashions 2015

These are my 2015 picks for best dressed at the Oscars.

I love how Reece went black and white, classic. I love that Jennifer Anniston finally stepped outside of the box and stopped going for the plunging neckline, much more age appropriate Jen! I love this look on Gwyneth Paltrow. She always does white on the red carpet so I think this was a really pretty change for her.

Does anyone else agree that Jen should stop doing the plunging necklines? You've got a great body for your age, but the girls aren't 21 anymore Jen!

I was not crazy about this look. Pretty dress, but I just can't get over the color. Reminds me of tinker bell or something. A little too Peter Pan for my liking.

Speaking of age appropriate, I was excited to see a softer side of Lopez for a change. We're so used to seeing her wear see-through dresses that I was happy to see her change things up as well. Soft, feminine, but beautiful.

Congrats to all the 2015 Oscar winners.

Secrets To A Long Life?

Apparently this 115 year old Italian woman has the secrets to living a long life figured out. She contributes it to a lifetime of eating raw eggs and being single.

Happy Post-Valentine's Weekend

Hey y'all,

Did you hear the news over the Valentine's Weekend? Gaga said YES. Of course her unique style would reflect in a heart shaped engagement ring. Love it! Did anyone have a romantic weekend like Gaga's?

The Hidden Face Behind "Chandelier"

Who is the face behind "Chandelier" and why is she always facing the wall?!

The Australian singer has become well known for her latest hit "Chandelier" as well as the contemporary performances given by her dancers, Maddie Ziegler and most recently Kristen Wiig at the 2015 Grammy's. Sia's past work included co-writing collaborating "Titanium" with David Guetta, and starring as the vocals on famous tracks like "She Wolf (Falling To Pieces)" and "Wild Ones" with rapper Flo-Rida. When questioned in a Nightline interview with Chris Connelly, Sia opened up about why she chooses not to show her face. "I don't want to be famous or recognizable. I don't want to be critiqued about the way I look on the internet. " Sia also explained, "I was in Target the other day buying a hose and nobody recognized me and my song was on the radio. And I thought 'Okay, this experiment is working'.  After being a successful songwriter and writing hits including "Pretty Hurts" by Beyonce and "Diamonds" by Rihanna, Sia sees how fame affects a celebrities life. She doesn't want the fame and the paparazzi's following her every move.

I completely respect Sia and her wishes. How credible to stand up and say look, I want to do what I love for a living, but not at the cost of sacrificing everything I love about my life. Not only does Sia express her wishes in such a powerful way, but she really puts the spotlight on her dancer Maddie Ziegler to own the stage and express a creative message through the contemporary routine. I loved watching Sia bring such a different form of art to the Grammy's this year.

Katy Perry's Grammy Performance

After Obama made a public awareness announcement regarding rape and violence against woman, the lady seen above (Axtell) opened Katy Perry's performance with a powerful message about her personal experience regarding domestic violence.

Perry's handwork this year has not gone unnoticed. After the release of her new album Prism in 2014, the success of her single "Dark Horse", and her grand performance at this year's Super Bowl 47, Perry was nominated for two awards. Since 2009, Perry has been nominated for a total of 13 Grammy's but has yet to take one home. Perry has had such an amazing career thus far. I'm shocked that she's yet to win a Grammy. Everything will happen in God's time. Keep doing what you're doing Katy, we love you!

"Authentic love does not devalue another human being. Authentic love does not silence, shame, or abuse. If you are in a relationship with someone who does not love or honor you, I want you to know that you are loved. Please reach out for help.
You are valuable, beautiful, and loved"

Blake & Ryan

Is anyone else just dying to get the hands on this baby photo?! After rocking the cutest baby bump ever, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are still staying very hush hush on any details of their new princess. Ryan Reynolds has been doing lots of promotion for his latest comedy "The Voices", but through all the poking and prodding, he's stuck out his guns and has kept those lips sealed tight. The only details he's gone so far to release is the fact that fatherhood's given him a new found appreciation for sleep. Standby!
